Ecommerce in islamic Perspective

Islam accepted the conduct of E-Commerce as a new way or technology to facilitate economic transactions. This is based on the Syariah (Islamic Law) legal values, namely the obligatory, recommended (Mandub),permissible , reprehensible , and forbidden Mustafa Omar mentioned in a interview that Islam is not against ECommerce;instead Islam basically encouraged ECommerce
as one of the new way of conducting business. He further explained that traditionally,business was conducted verbally face to face but today the two contracting parties are connected together via computer. However added that what is much of a consent in conducting E-Commerce
is the moral perspectives that lead to a more accountable and responsible trader.
On the other hand it is very important to consider E-Commerce not only as webshops, this is only a small part of the whole picture of
E-Economy. This singular focus leads to ignoring other, also important, aspects like the partners of communication. In Internet-shops it is always a person contacting a computer, but in a broader view of E-Commerce this need not always be the case: for example in B2B E-Commerce communication from computer to computer is very important.

The Internet is an unlimited space for the growth of any ecommerce industry , of any country and many possibilities and opportunities are constantly becoming available for anyone to create their own online business. This new media is an open area for communication and the exchanging of experiences and wide range of opportunities across the globe.

Kevin Rudd offered a broad apology to all aborigines and the Stolen Generations for their "profound grief, suffering and loss" in a carefully worded statement that was greeted by a standing ovation.

Australian Aborigines make up 2% of the population and are the most disadvantaged group.

They have higher rates of infant mortality, drug abuse, alcoholism and unemployment than the rest of the population.

I think the apology is the right thing to do, but personally don't understand why it was debated for so long

We apologise for the laws and policies of successive parliaments and governments that have inflicted profound grief, suffering and loss on these our fellow Australians," the apology read.

"We apologise especially for the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, their communities and their country.

"For the pain, suffering and hurt of these Stolen Generations, their descendants and for their families left behind, we say sorry.

"To the mothers and the fathers, the brothers and the sisters, for the breaking up of families and communities, we say sorry.

"And for the indignity and degradation thus inflicted on a proud people and a proud culture, we say sorry."

THE ALLIGATOR RIVER STORY

This is an Experiental exercise that i did in class,  in order to have an appreciation of the differences in perceptions, values and attitudes inherent in the diverse work  force  that  is fast becoming a reality in most work  organizations.

Instructions: Please read the following story. After reading the story, rank the five characters in the story in the space provided below it, beginning with the one you consider as most offensive, and ending with the one you consider as least objectionable. Also, briefly note your reasons as to why you ranked them in that order.




There lived a woman named Abigail who was in love with a man named Gregory. Gregory lived on the shore of a river. Abigail lived on the opposite shore of the same river. The river that separated the two lovers was teeming with dangerous alligators. Abigail wanted to cross the river to be with Gregory. Unfortunately, the bridge had been washed out by a heavy flood the previous week. So she went to ask Sinbad, a riverboat captain, to take her across. He said he would be glad to if she would consent to go to bed with him prior to the voyage. She promptly refused and went to a friend named Ivan to explain her plight. Ivan did not want to get involved at all in the situation. Abigail felt her only alternative was to accept Sinbad’s terms. Sinbad fulfilled his promise to Abigail and delivered her into the arms of Gregory.
When Abigail told Gregory about her amorous escapade in order to cross the river, Gregory cast her aside with disdain. Heartsick and rejected, Abigail turned to Slug with her tale of woe. Slug, feeling compassion for Abigail, sought out Gregory and beat him brutally. Abigail was overjoyed at the sight of Gregory getting his due. As the sun set on the horizon, people heard Abigail laughing at Gregory.

The concept refers to distinguishing features of the group and to the individual's sense of belonging to it. Although, two people may be separated by difference in personalities, belief systems, geographical locations, time and even spoken language; yet regard themselves, and be seen by others, as members of the same nation

What is the relation between National Identity and Corporate values?

National Identity means more than being an independent nation or a geographical location. It has something deeper and more complex which is concerned with the lifestyle, thoughts, faith, arts, sport and how we respond cross-culturally to the values. For example Colombia shares a national identity as part of the rest of world, but it is also unique to other countries.

The relation between national identity and the corporate values which mainly represent the corporate “culture” and also its aspirations and conduct as an organization, is the fact that a company’s background (owners, employees) will always determine the values that will guide it.

What are the benefits of the corporate form?

Based on the canadian film The Corporation which makes us think about the basic corporating principles of the corporate world which were reduce to a game of "follow the leader";An inspiring film that starts defining Corporation as an istitution that creates great wealth and causes enormous damage. Also Talks about it as a family unit where every one work together to reach a common goal then finishs trying to make it more clear saying that Corporation is an artificial creation, a monster that tries to get as much profit as they can.But at this time, which benefits do we get from a corporation,is there an alternative model that could be worth it?.
A corporation form has many advanteges, it permits of larger accumulations of capital also the death of a stockholder does not dissolve the organization of which he is part owner,the Shares of a corporation are freely transferable, because as a separate entity, the existence of a corporation is not dependent upon who the owners or investors are at any one time these an other advantanges make corporations very attractive because if we get to compare it to a partnership, a sole proprietors company or a an S-corporation, they wont have as many advantages as the corporation but could fullfill our needs depending on the circumstanses.

Definition
A corporation is a separate legal entity. As such it allows a group of people to pool their energy, time, and money for profit or nonprofit activities. The corporation comes into legal existence when its founders comply with their state's incorporation process.
